Fry named President and General Manager of KGW-TV
Portland, OR --Belo Corp. (NYSE: BLC) announced today that R. Paul Fry has been named president and general manager of KGW-TV, the NBC affiliate in Portland, effective immediately. Fry, 39, has served as general manager of Belo's Seattle-based NorthWest Cable News (NWCN) since 1999 and was promoted to president and general manager of NWCN in January 2002.
Fry will report to Glenn C. Wright, senior vice president of Belo's Northwest operating cluster.

Prior to his tenure at NWCN, Fry served as vice president and general manager of KONG-TV (Ind.) in Seattle/Tacoma in 1998 and as vice president/Cable and Program Development in Belo's Broadcast Division in 1997. In 1996, Fry served as an executive assistant to Belo's chief executive officer during the transition following Belo's acquisition of The Providence Journal Company.
From 1993 to 1996, he was director of finance and controller for Belo's Broadcast Division, and previously served as controller of KOTV, the CBS affiliate in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which was then owned by Belo. Fry joined Belo in 1990 in the Company's corporate accounting department. Before joining Belo, Fry held accounting and tax positions with KPMG Peat Marwick, Murray Properties Company and Triton Energy.
Fry is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, where he earned a bachelor of business administration degree.
