KHOU-TV wins 18 Lone Star Awards in Houston

Houston, TX --KHOU-TV Channel 11 has won 18 Lone Star Awards from the Houston Press Club, more than any other Houston television station. Among the awards is a series of investigative reports, "Evidence of Errors" by the 11News Defenders investigative team and a number of individual awards including Television Journalist of the Year and Television Photojournalist of the Year. KHOU also took top honors in the Spot News, Hard News Feature, Politics/Government, Consumer News, Sports Feature and Editing categories.

"This team of journalists, photojournalists, editors and support staff make it their business to do great work every day," says Mike Devlin, KHOU-TV Vice President and News Director. "I'm proud of their efforts and pleased that they have been honored by the Houston Press Club for their outstanding service to our viewers and our community."
