KHOU wins Mayor's Proud Partners Award
Houston, TX -- KHOU-TV, Channel 11 has been given the Mayor's Proud Partner Award for its program, "Growing Together The Changing Face of Houston." The prime time special aired on Channel 11 March 16. KHOU and producer Beryt Nisenson of Active Imagination were named recipients of the award given at the 19th Annual Keep Houston Beautiful Mayor's Proud Partners Award Luncheon.
KHOU-TV produced and funded the thirty-minute special hosted by 11News anchor, Greg Hurst. The program featured industry experts and personal stories to examine quality of life issues facing Houston, such as green space and beautification.
The Mayor's Proud Partner Luncheon honors businesses, civic groups, corporations and individuals who have made a positive difference in the visual appearance of Houston through outstanding beautification improvement projects.
