Quadrant homes presents New Years at the Needle on December 31st

-- 2004 begins on KING 5 TV with exclusive coverage of Western Washington's biggest and brightest party, Quadrant Homes presents New Year's at the Needle. From the festivities at the base of the Needle to the parties at the top, KING 5 will be there as the Space Needle lights up the sky in celebration of the new year.

More than 2000 pyrotechnic effects will be launched from the 605-foot Space Needle to create the world's tallest structure-launched fireworks show. A crowd of more than 20,000 people is expected to gather around the base of the tower to watch the fireworks shoot through the midnight sky. It's estimated that an additional 400,000 people will view the show from surrounding neighborhoods.

KING 5 News Anchors Dennis Bounds and Joyce Taylor will be hosting this spectacular event. Also on hand will be Evening Magazine's John Curley to bring live reports from the eagerly anticipating crowds below, while special guest KJR FM's Pat Cashman will be reporting from the festivities at the top of the Needle.
