Another clean sweep for NewsChannel 8 in May!
Portland, OR -- Wednesday, May 26 marked the completion of another strong ratings performance for KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8 according to Nielsen. May 2004 marked the ninth out of the last ten sweeps KGW has finished first in every news time period. It also marks the remarkable accomplishment of eighteen consecutive sweeps that KGW has been number one sign-on to sign-off, dating back to February 2000.
Once again, Northwest NewsChannel 8 won newscasts at Sunrise (5-7 am), as well as the 5 pm, 5:30 pm, 6 pm, & 11 pm weekday newscasts and every weekend newscast, as well.

NewsChannel 8 @ 11, anchored by Joe Donlon and Laural Porter, continued its lead over all competitors.
