Belo Interactive launches new MemberCenter for registered members

Dallas, TX --Belo Interactive, the Internet subsidiary of Belo Corp. and a pioneer of online registration, announced today that it has launched a new MemberCenter offering its registered members a more convenient way to manage their online account. With MemberCenter, customers can in one convenient location access areas of Belo Interactive's sites more quickly through a streamlined registration process, easily update their account information, instantly modify their email address and password, and manage various online subscriptions to email alerts, newsletters or information services.

Belo Interactive began requesting visitors complete a simple, one-time membership form as of May 2001. Registered members enjoy full access to the in-depth, timely news available across Belo Interactive's 40 Web sites, and the use of exclusive personalized features and products. The recent updates are in response to extensive consumer research indicating a need for a simplified account management system and a more efficient registration process. Now with any of its 40 Web sites, Belo Interactive customers can access and modify their account information, subscriptions, or personalized features through MemberCenter no matter which site originally recorded the membership account.

In addition to MemberCenter, Belo Interactive also introduced a new, permanent area of the site called What's New. What's New will continually highlight recent improvements to the site such as additional features, new content and enhanced functionality.

Currently, the What's New section showcases five features including MemberCenter, updated site navigation and designs, an enhanced weather section, an updated video player, and the new ClassifiedCenter.

The What's New section will remain on Belo Interactive's sites as a communication vehicle highlighting for consumers the new developments and enhancements implemented on the sites.
