Portland resident wins week 3 of 'Gimme the Mike'
Portland, OR -- Portlander Geoff Bird, singing "How Deep is Your Love" by the Bee Gees, was the winner of the third week of competition on NewsChannel 8's "GM Murray Chevrolet Gimme the Mike Presented by Taco Bell" airing on Monday, July 12.
In subsequent web voting on kgw.com, Selena Hing of Beaverton, OR, was chosen as the "viewers' choice" and will be eligible to compete against four other weekly "wild card" competitors upon completion of the first five weeks of voting.

In May, only 20 contestants were selected to compete in the weekly summer television series, which will air through August 3, 2004. The first four weeks air Monday nights at 7:30 on Northwest NewsChannel 8, while the July 26th episode will air at 8 p.m. The winner of the competition, to be broadcast live on Tuesday, August 3 from 8 p.m.-9 p.m., will win a 2004 Chevy TrailBlazer from Murray Chevrolet. The show is hosted by long-time KGW personality Bruce Sussman.
