KHOU-TV to bring KidVid to Houston-area mall

Houston, TX -- KHOU-TV Channel 11 will bring KidVid to San Jacinto Mall on tax free weekend, Saturday, August 7. The free child identification program will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Baytown's San Jacinto Mall at 6900 Interstate 10.

KidVid provides videotapes to parents, which can be used by law enforcement agencies should the child be lost or missing.

Channel 11 news anchors will be on hand to greet families and sign autographs. In addition to the videotapes, children will be able to participate in other activities, including a bicycle safety obstacle course.

KidVid is a community service project of KHOU-TV Channel 11. Last year, more than 300 videotapes were distributed to families to help keep their children safe.
