KHOU-TV completes 3rd Annual Spirit of Texas Toy Drive

Houston, TX -- KHOU-TV Channel 11 held another successful toy drive, collecting more than 8,000 toys and gifts for needy children, teenagers and the elderly. Donations were up 36% from 2003. The Salvation Army processed more than 40,000 applications and distributed gifts through their agencies.

Visa helped kick-off the toy drive by donating a $5,000 gift card, which was used to purchase toys and gifts. The Spirit of Texas Toy Drive sponsors included Casa Ole Restaurants, Keller Willams Realty and Northwest and Almeda Malls.

The 4th Annual Spirit of Texas Toy Drive begins on November 24, 2005.
