WFAA-TV names Nicole (Nicki) Harkrider as Local Sales Manager

Dallas, TX - WFAA has announced that Nicki Harkrider has been promoted to Local Sales Manager.

"Nicki is already a highly respected leader within the sales organization of WFAA as an Account Executive. Her eleven years of experience in television sales, including two years representing WFAA-TV, will be an asset" said Biff Niven, WFAA General Sales Manager. "She mentors fellow account executives and brings to our management team a successful track record selling WFAA, developing innovative solutions for our advertisers, and a thorough understanding of our business. The entire sales department shares my enthusiasm in Nicki's promotion to this leadership role. She will definitely make our team stronger."

In her new role with the Dallas-Fort Worth ABC affiliate, Harkrider will directly lead a sales team of 5 account executives. She will be involved in all aspects of the sales department, providing her insight and leadership in convergence sales efforts with The Dallas Morning News, the station's Internet operations and KFWD-TV (Channel 52). Her fluency in the Spanish language will be an added value to the station's development in the Hispanic market. Harkrider will report directly to Niven.

Before joining WFAA, Nicki spent the prior eight years as an account executive in the Dallas market for CBS Spot Television Sales, Millennium National Television Sales, United Television Sales and Katz National Television.

Harkrider graduated with honors from Texas Tech University. She will assume her new duties on August 8.
