Channel 11 to broadcast Fiestas Patrias Parade

HOUSTON, TX - KHOU-TV Channel 11 will broadcast the 37th annual Fiestas Patrias International Parade on Saturday, September 17th at Noon. 11News Anchors Deborah Duncan and Vicente Arenas will host the hour-long special. Channel 11 Houstonisimo Host, Nelly Gonzalez will report from the streets of the parade, providing colorful commentary and insight as the entries pass by.

Fiestas Patrias recognizes the independence of several Hispanic countries, including Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica and El Salvador. The parade will celebrate Houston's diverse Hispanic culture and feature the 2004 Fiestas Patrias Pageant winners, marching bands, a folkloric danza competition, floats and more.

The Fiestas Patrias parade will be held downtown on Saturday, September 17th at 10a.m. The parade will begin on Texas at Hamilton and end on Preston at La Branch.
