Providence Journal's Fall High School All-State Sports Selections Announced

Providence, RI On Sunday, January 15, The Providence Journal announces its pick of the best high school athletes for the 2005 fall season.

Over 80 high school athletes from eight fall sports teams will be profiled in a keepsake sports section on Sunday. The section also includes second-team All-State selections along with the Coaches' Association All-Division selections in every fall sport. Plus, the section will honor the recipients of the Fall Dick Reynolds Team Sportsmanship Award. That award, named in honor of The Providence Journal's late sportswriter Dick Reynolds, is awarded to one boys' and one girls' team. The Rhode Island Interscholastic League Injury Fund co-sponsors the award with The Providence Journal.

Since 1945, The Providence Journal has been recognizing high school students who excel at athletics with the All-State Awards.
