Belo Announces January 20 Groundbreaking Ceremony and Building Dedication at The Press-Enterprise Company in Riverside

Belo Corp. and The Press-Enterprise Company in Riverside, California, will hold a groundbreaking ceremony and unveil plans for a new, state-of-the-art media center for The Press-Enterprise, Inland Southern California's largest newspaper; The Business Press, La Prensa and El D; and their associated Web sites. The new building will be dedicated to Howard H "Tim" Hays, former owner and publisher of The Press-Enterprise, a pioneer in newspaper journalism in Southern California and ardent supporter of First Amendment rights who won two important Supreme Court decisions favoring Freedom of Information.

Key Belo executives and community dignitaries participating in the event include: Robert W. Decherd, Belo's chairman, president and chief executive officer; Ron Redfern, publisher and chief executive officer of The Press-Enterprise; Ron Loveridge, mayor of Riverside; and Howard H "Tim" Hays, former owner and publisher of The Press-Enterprise.
