Riverside, CA -- Kathy Weiermiller has been named vice president of circulation for The Press-Enterprise daily newspaper by Publisher and Press-Enterprise Company CEO Ron Redfern.

"I'm very enthused that Kathy has chosen to join The Press-Enterprise and lead our circulation team in growing our audience and leadership position in the Inland Southern California region. I've had the privilege of working with Kathy in the past and I have great respect for her leadership and management abilities. She brings a wide range of experience and success in the newspaper and media business in Southern California to her position that will play an important role in supporting our future growth," Redfern announced.

Weiermiller comes to The Press-Enterprise after nine years with The Orange County Register, where she was most recently senior vice president of operations. Prior to that role she served for five years as vice president CFO and CIO with responsibility for finance, accounting, purchasing and information technology.

Weiermiller will lead the development and implementation of the company's circulation and customer service strategies and oversee all facets of circulation operations for The Press-Enterprise. She will report directly to Redfern, the publisher, and serve as a member of the company's strategic leadership team. Redfern noted that, "Kathy will be working closely with Karen Kokiko, our vice president of marketing, and Maria De Varenne, our editor and vice president of news, to develop a comprehensive strategy for audience growth on all of our media products."

"I'm very excited to join the team at The Press-Enterprise. It is a vibrant and dynamic company in a very robust, exciting and growing region," Weiermiller said.
