WVEC-TV13 Honored to be the Most Watched Station in Hampton Roads for Local News

Norfolk , VA. -- WVEC-TV13 is the most watched station in Hampton Roads for local news , according to Nielsen Overnights for May 2006.

13NEWS wins based on HH ratings. The 5:00-7:00 AM time period is up over last year; specifically, the 5:00 AM leaping +26% and the competitive 6:00 AM hour experienced a +7% increase.

"13NEWS continues its strategic climb," said President and General Manager Nick Nicholson. Early News is up year to year. The 5:30 PM newscast climbed +4% and the 6:00 PM is +13%.
