KING 5 honored with 13 regional Emmy Awards
SEATTLE, WA -- KING 5 Television was honored with 13 Emmy Awards from the Seattle-Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The 43rd annual regional award ceremony recognizing outstanding creative, journalistic and technical achievement was held in Seattle on June 3rd.
In addition to being recognized for Overall Excellence for the second consecutive year, the staff is pleased that the Academy chose to honor the Seattle market's only full time environmental reporter, Gary Chittim for his "Environment Northwest" news segments.
The "News Special" award for "KING 5 Tsunami Relief" spotlights the stations commitment to bringing the highest standards of broadcast production and journalism to our community service.
