Szesny Wins Promax Awards

Louisville, KY - WHAS11 and Creative Services and Marketing Director Kirk Szesny was awarded the North America Promax Gold Award for Broadcast Television Music Package/Post Score or Instrumental Theme with or without vocals "UofL on WHAS11 Sports Music Package".

The Promax Silver Award for Non-Promotional Animation Campaign "UofL Sports Programming on WHAS11", and the Promax Silver Award for Promotional Animation Campaign "UofL Sports on WHAS11".

This original sports music and graphics package was composed and produced to market and program one "big sound, loo k, and brand identity." The strong sports "music signature" identity was composed with thematic versatility and produced by Christian Gari of Gari Productions, Inc.

The original graphic and animation design created by EQ Vance and WHAS11 broadcast designer Christy Lampe-Combs, were produced for all UofL sports programming on WHAS11, but especially for men's football, basketball and the local coach's shows featuring Coach Bobby Petrino and Coach Rick Pitino respectively.

The music, animations and graphic design combined creative power, synergy, and brand genesis for the 2005/2006 season premiere of UofL sports programming and brand identity on WHAS11.
