KMOV Recognized for News Excellence
Mid-America Emmys give News 4 Their Most Prestigious News Award
St. Louis -- KMOV took the most prestigious news award night at the 2006 Mid-America Emmys Saturday night. News 4 St. Louis was recognized for overall News Excellence beating news organizations throughout the region including St. Louis, Kansas City, Little Rock, and Springfield, Mo. KMOV won a total of 10 Emmys including Team Coverage of major news, five different reporting categories, Sportscast, Directing and interview/Discussion program.

Allan Cohen was also recognized Saturday night with a Silver Circle Award "signifying 25 years or more of extraordinary achievement and service to the industry."
