Northwest Newschannel 8 to Hold Fifth Free Document Shredding Day

Belo Corp. Station's Popular Event Helps Prevent Identity Theft

PORTLAND, OR -- To help viewers protect themselves against identity theft, Northwest NewsChannel 8 will hold its fifth Shred Day on Friday, November 17. The public is invited to bring up to two boxes of documents to the Northwest NewsChannel 8 studios from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.. Documents will be shredded on site at no charge by Cintas Document Management.

Northwest NewsChannel 8 held its first Shred Day a year and half ago to provide a safe and easy way to dispose of sensitive documents. The last NewsChannel 8 Shred Day in May attracted eight hundred people and disposed of over thirty tons of paper.

The KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8 studios are located at 1501 SW Jefferson Street in downtown Portland.
