HOUSTON -- KHOU-TV Channel 11 finished as Houston's news leader in the television sweeps race winning all major newscasts at 5pm, 6pm and 10pm (M-F), (M-Sun) as well as the mid-day news in the November sweeps period ending Wednesday according to Nielsen Media Research.

The Channel 11 programs finishing first in the November rating period include; "The Price is Right," "The Young and The Restless," "11News at Noon," "The Oprah Winfrey Show," "11News at 5," "The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric," "11News at 6," "Wheel of Fortune," and "11News at 10."
11News This Morning finished a strong second in the morning time period. 11News at Noon finished first in its time period and first among other mid-day news programs in the market. Houston is the nation's tenth largest television market.
