KING 5 Wins February Sweeps in Every Newscast
SEATTLE As February sweeps come to a close, Seattle's NBC affiliate and leading television station, KING 5 announced today that it prevailed in every newscast. KING 5 has been the perennial winner in all newscasts for more than 10 years.
"It's a real affirmation for our news team to know that viewers make us their first choice for news and information," said Ray Heacox, president and general manager of KING 5, KONG 6/16 and NWCN. The M -Su KING 5 News at 11 p.m. and at 10 p.m. on KONG 6/16 combines to more than double the next closest competitor for late news. The KING 5 late news on KONG 6/16 was the only late news to show growth year-to-year gaining two full shares against tough prime time competitors; and KING 5 News was the only 11pm news to grow share from its network lead-in. The KING 5 M orning News on KONG 6/16 was up year-to-year +27% in rating and +20% in share.
