KING 5 Kicks Off Seattle's First Annual Healthy Living Expo March 17-18 - Free to the Community

Doors open to Qwest Field at 10 a.m. for a fun, educational health and fitness extravaganza

SEATTLE -- Nationally recognized for its commitment to health programming, KING 5, Seattle's NBC affiliate and leading television station, invites you to Seattle's Healthy Living Expo, March 17 and 18 at Qwest Field Event Center West Hall South. "The expo will provide opportunities to learn about healthy cooking and recipes, to participate in fun fitness activities and to understand the benefits of household items and fixtures that create a safe and healthy home."
The Healthy Living Expo will feature a range of interactive exhibits, including a cooking stage, demonstrations for kids, scuba dive tank experience, rock climbing wall, interactive soccer, golf simulator, and a chance to enter the $10,000 hole-in-one contest. Attendees can gauge their level of fitness by participating in a variety of screenings and tests -- from cholesterol and bone density testing to body mass index and fitness and nutritional screenings.

In addition attendees can watch or participate in a variety of demonstrations including Yoga and meditation, hip hop, world dance and other fitness workshops. As well, experts will be on hand to provide information and answer questions related to a range of health and fitness activities including acupuncture, diabetes, allergies and asthma, Advanced Dentistry, home safety and financial planning.
