KGW Northwest Newschannel 8 Wins Region One Honors in 2007 Edward R. Murrow Awards

Belo Corp. Station Recognized for Continuing Coverage

PORTLAND, OR- KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8's coverage of missing Mt. Hood climbers, a story that captured the nation's attention, was recognized at the recent Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. Northwest NewsChannel 8 won two awards in the Region 1 Television Large Market Division. Region 1 is comprised of stations in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho and Montana. The awards, given out by the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA), honor outstanding achievements in electronic journalism.
