KTVK Wins Regional Edward R. Murrow Award

Senior Reporter Mike Watkiss Recognized for Continuing Coverage

PHOENIX - KTVK the strong independent television station with the #1 local news in Arizona, has been awarded the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for continuing coverage in a large market. Senior Reporter Mike Watkiss was singled out for his journalism excellence in reporting on The Search for Warren Jeffs. Watkiss has dogged Jeffs for twenty years and is regarded by national media as an expert for his in-depth investigations of the polygamist leader and his followers. This is the second year in a row that Watkiss has been honored with a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for his polygamy coverage.
