WUPL-TV Announces New Local Sales Manager

New Orleans, LA - Chris Rogers has been promoted to the position of Local Sales Manager for WUPL-TV 54, overseeing the local sales efforts for the newly acquired station by the parent company, Belo.


Rogers has been at Belo owned WWL-TV since 1995 as Account Executive but also did a two-year stint as National Sales Manager at WWL-TV during this time. In his 21 year career in broadcasting, Chris has sold spot time at a variety of New Orleans stations and has held different sales positions for numerous broadcast companies such as Cox, Tribune, Burnham Broadcasting and Belo. Before landing at WWL-TV, Chris' career included sales positions at Cox Cable, WGNO 26, and WVUE 8. Rogers attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa majoring in Business.


Rogers said: "I've been looking forward to the right opportunity to manage my own staff. I like working with the local businesses in helping them achieve their goals, growing their business and seeing them begin to thrive again in post-Katrina New Orleans."


Rogers resides in Metairie with his wife Anne. They have one son Chase, and a daughter, Bridget.
