New Orleans, LA - Eric Ettinger has been named Integrated Sales Manager for WWLTV.com, the CBS affiliate's highly-acclaimed - and trafficked - website. Eric is actually returning to WWL-TV as he was an Account Executive and then Director of Interactive Media from 1994-1998, where he architected and built the station's first website. Leaving in 1998, he performed website development and marketing consultation in New Orleans and the Bay Area, working for clients such as Orbitz, Palm, Microsoft, Charles Schwab, Yahoo! and AMD.
Moving back to New Orleans in 2004, Eric was at Hearst Television as an Account Executive and Web Sales Manager until 2006, when he was engaged to lead the development of the MyFox operation at the Fox owned-and-operated station in Cleveland. At Hearst, Eric's efforts lead to dramatic increases in Web revenue, and he participated in company-wide development of various initiatives. Similarly, at Fox, Eric was a top-performer nation-wide and was tapped to consult on the re-architecture and re-design of the entire MyFox platform.
Ettinger commented that, "This is returning home in more ways than one, for me. I'm returning to the station, and city, that I love. The products and team are solid and I'm simply hoping to contribute to the growth of the operation." Further noting that the digital landscape in New Orleans has advanced significantly, Eric said, "I've lived in more than one top-20 market in the country and was pleasantly surprised to find that New Orleans is actually more 'wired' than many other larger markets - especially in the wake of Katrina - and it's going to be fun to continue to translate our unique culture into the digital sphere."
Eric lives Uptown with his wife, Stephanie, President of Ettinger Communications, an advertising agency with a digital focus. They have two children, Owen and Amelie.
