KMOV-TV Announces New Executive News Director
St. Louis, MO - KMOV-TV president and general manager announced today that Sean McLaughlin will become the Executive News Director July 6, 2007.
Sean leaves his position as News Director at KTUL-TV, the ABC affiliate in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he led the launch of the station's consumer and investigative unit that has been honored with a number of awards, both regional and national. Prior to that Sean launched entire news operations from scratch at two stations, one in Tulsa (KOKI-TV) and one in Minneapolis (WFTC-TV). Under Sean's direction, KOKI was nominated for Emmys for Best Newscast and Station Excellence within the first 3 years. McLaughlin also rose to the position of News Director at WICS-TV, the NBC affiliate in Springfield, Illinois.
