KING 5 Wins Three Silvers at Promax/BDA International Conference in New York

Seattle, WA KING 5, Seattle /Tacoma's NBC affiliate and number one television station, announced today that it won three silver awards at the 52nd annual Promax/BDA International Conference in New York. KING 5 was the only broadcast station from the Northwest among the Promax North America award winners.

Promax is the association that honors promotion and marketing executives in the electronic media. KING 5 won awards in the categories of Broadcast Television Station TV- Promotion Website, Broadcast Television Station- Consumer Promotion Campaign and Broadcast Networks- On-Air Sales Promotion.

Winners included Enrico Benjamin who produced the "Always On" promotion on KING5.com; The "Olympic Home Team" won for its packaged giveaway for families of Western Washington Olympic athletes at the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics; and The Great M aggie Getaway , an Evening M agazine promotion that awards 6 winners a trip on the show's sea plane to various destinations in the Northwest won for on-air promotion.
