May Ratings Victory for KTVK

Phoenix, AZ - KTVK, the powerhouse independent television station, is once again number one in local news for the all-important May ratings in the coveted
Adults 25-54 audience.

KTVK is number one in A 25-54 in seven newscasts: Good Morning Arizona at 5:00 a.m., 5:30 a.m., 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.; and, Good Evening Arizona at 4:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. During the three hours each day, M-F, when five local stations air local news, KTVK is #1 in A 25-54.

In May, KTVK launched its local news in high-definition, producing more news in HD than any broadcast station in the country, living up to its market position as "The Place With More News." Along with HD programming, the station unveiled two new studios, a forecast center and new vizRT HD graphics.

KTVK executive news director, Sandy Breland said, "In May we showcased the beauty of Arizona in HD with wonderful stories about Arizona's destination places. Reflecting the spirit of Arizona and its people is the hallmark of this station."

For the second year in a row, the ever-popular Good Morning Arizona was live for two weeks on its Road Trip around scenic Arizona. The unique, personality-driven show has been number one since its debut almost 13 years ago and once again dominated the morning ratings.

KTVK's local news is a winning combination with the strength of its signature entertainment programs, Oprah, Dr. Phil, Inside Edition and Entertainment Tonight all number one in their time period in A 25-54 and W 25-54.
