WFAA-TV/DT Names Lisa Wegmann Local Sales Manager

Dallas, TX - Lisa Wegmann has been named local sales manager at WFAA, the ABC affiliate in Dallas-Fort Worth.

"Lisa has a deep history with clients in the local market after working with a number of Belo Corp. companies," said WFAA vice president/director of sales, Angela Betasso. "We are pleased to welcome her back into the sales department at WFAA rejoining the staff as one of our three local sales managers."

For the past two and a half years, Wegmann has served as sales manager for KFWD-TV (Channel 52), which has a Joint Sales Agreement with WFAA. Her responsibilities have included overseeing the local and national sales efforts of the station. Prior to working with KFWD she served as director of sales and local sales manager at Texas Cable News (TXCN).

Wegmann also worked as a senior account executive with WFAA and the CBS affiliate in D-FW, as well as at KABC-TV in Los Angeles for five years as an account executive.

"Beyond her work in local television, Lisa has experience with several large advertising agencies including managing the start-up of the Dallas-Chiat/Day office, (now OMD) back in the eighties, "said Betasso. "She later worked with the Los Angeles Chiat/Day office to help devise and implement new policies and procedures in the media department. It is this diversity of industry experience that sets Lisa apart, and makes her so valuable to helping clients."

Wegmann, a University of Texas graduate, has been the recipient of four American Women in Radio and Television awards of excellence presented by the Dallas AWRT Chapter. She begins her new responsibilities at the station late this month.
