Channel 11 Names Lisa Trapani Shumate Director of Marketing

Houston, TX KHOU is pleased to announce the promotion of Lisa Trapani Shumate from Marketing Manager to Director of Marketing.

In her new role, Lisa will be responsible for the management the station's community affairs/marketing, public relations and client sponsored station initiatives.

Shumate has been a member of the Belo family for five years, having served as Executive Director of Belo Marketing Solutions in Dallas from 2002 2005. Prior to joining Belo, she held several positions with KTRK-TV/ABC 13 including Manager of Marketing and Special Projects, News Anchor and Program Host of "Good Morning Houston".

Shumate holds a BA in Communications from Loyola University. She is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions for her work on a variety of public affairs programs and documentaries including a 2002 Suncoast Regional Emmy, a 1998 AWRT Gracie Award, 1996 Silver Spur Award, 1996 Texas Association Press.
