KVUE Dominates Austin Television Ratings Again

Austin, TX -- More homes in Austin tuned to KVUE in November than any other broadcast station according to Nielsen Media Research.

KVUE News maintained its dominance in Austin, coming in #1 in every major newscast Monday through Friday. KVUE's "Daybreak" at 6am won its slot for the seventh straight ratings period with a 3.0 rating. KVUE's 5pm newscast doubled the ratings of the closest local competing newscast, earning it a 6.7 rating. The 6pm newscast also won for the fourth straight time with a 6.3 rating and KVUE News Nightbeat (at 10pm) won its coveted time slot again by finishing with a 6.9 rating.

"Weekend Daybreak", on Saturday and Sunday, both continued as #1 in the market, with each earning a 2.6 rating. KVUE's Saturday 6pm newscast captured the lead position with a 7.1 rating. Plus, KVUE's Sunday 10pm newscast continued as Austin's #1 late news on Sundays with an 8.6 rating.

Once again, "Nightline" beat both "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Late Show with David Letterman" during its time slot.
