KTVK to Launch 9:00 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. Newscasts
Announces Programming Moves that Fit Viewers' Lifestyles
PHOENIX -- KTVK-TV (3TV, The Place With More News), the powerhouse independent television station that produces 52 hours of local news a week, more than most stations in the country, announced its intention today to debut an hour-long 9:00 p.m. newscast on June 23, 2008, anchored by Beverly Kidd. In tandem with this primetime newscast, 3TV will start Good Morning Arizona at 4:30 a.m. The number one morning news in Phoenix for the past 14 years will now air weekdays from 4:30 a.m. 9:00 a.m.
Jack Sander, 3TV's interim General Manager said, "It only makes sense that 3TV would add newscasts that are in synch with our viewers' changing lifestyles because our audience relies upon us as Arizona's largest local news operation and community-minded station."

The rest of the new prime time line-up will be Dr. Phil at 7:00 p.m., Oprah at 8:00 p.m. and Two and a Half Men at 10:00 p.m.
