The Streak Continues: KGW NewsChannel 8 #1 for 34th Consecutive Sweeps Period
PORTLAND, OR -- Number One, again. For the ratings period that started Thursday, April 24th and ended Wednesday, May 21st, KGW NewsChannel 8 maintained its position as the top source for local news in the Portland market. The Belo Corp. affiliate was the most watched station from sign-on to sign-off for the 34th straight sweeps. The remarkable streak now stands at eight years and counting.

KGW NewsChannel 8 at Sunrise can lay claim to the most watched news in the morning, capturing the competitive 430am to 700am block. The weekday newscasts at Noon, 5pm, 6pm, and 630p also won their time slots.
