Watch KGW NewsChannel 8's "Studio on the Square" Come to Life
New Webcam on KGW.com Allows Oregonians to Watch Studio Construction Live!
PORTLAND, OR -- Construction on KGW NewsChannel 8's new high definition television studio, "Studio on the Square" is in full swing. Now Oregonians can watch the construction progress live. Today kgw.com launched a new webcam set up inside the studio that provides a unique view of all the action. The studio is slated for completion in first quarter 2009.
Through the camera you'll be able to watch as floor to ceiling windows are installed, walls erected, sets painted, and the anchor desk put into place.
KGW NewsChannel 8 will feature a story about the webcam and studio progress tonight at 5:00 and 6:00 PM. To watch construction live, go to kgw.com and click on the "Inside KGW TV" tab and then "Studio on the Square."
KGW NewsChannel 8's morning and noon newscasts and a new 7:00 PM show will originate from the studio. The location of the high definition studio will showcase events at the Square in visual detail never seen before.
