WHAS11 Ranks #1 for Local News as Kentuckiana's most Watched Station!

Louisville, KY -- The preliminary November 2008 Nielsen Ratings are in, and Kentuckiana news viewers continue to cast their "vote" for WHAS11NEWS as their number #1 Source for local news, weather and sports coverage. In addition, the Nielsen Ratings show that more people get their news and entertainment programming from WHAS11 than from any other local television station delivering Strong Audience Ratings Across All Day-Parts! From sign-on to sign-off, Kentuckiana viewers ranked WHAS11 as the top Louisville station in the November 2008 sweep!

WHAS11NEWS Good Morning Kentuckiana is the market's #1 NEWS SOURCE for morning news, both weekdays and on Saturday and Sunday. GMK averaged a strong 6.1 rating/ 18 share and 41,000 homes weekdays in the November 2008 sweeps, and delivered over 30,000 homes on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. ABC's Good Morning America with Louisville's own Diane Sawyer also remains top in the market weekdays 7:00 - 9:00am.

In primetime, the market's top program of the November 2008 sweep was The CMA Awards on ABC with 118,000 homes viewing. Dancing With the Stars (103,000 homes), Grey's Anatomy (97,000 homes), Desperate Housewives (96,000 homes), ABC News Vote 2008 Election Coverage 8-10p (81,000 homes), and A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (73,000 homes) ranked among the top programs in the Louisville market.

Louisville Cardinal Basketball on WHAS11 scored big numbers with the Cards vs Northern Kentucky University game and 71,000 homes viewing.
