KGW and Charter Reach Tentative Retransmission Agreement
PORTLAND, OR...KGW announced today that it has reached an agreement in principle with Charter Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) for retransmission of the station's analog and high-definition signals and for carriage of the 24-hour news channel, Northwest Cable News.

KGW is part of Belo Corp. NYSE: BLC), one of the nation's largest pure-play, publicly-traded television companies. The agreement covers signals in 11 of Belo's 15 markets including the following stations: KMOV-TV in St. Louis; WFAA-TV in Dallas/Fort Worth; WWL-TV and WUPL-TV in New Orleans, WCNC-TV in Charlotte; KGW-TV in Portland; WVEC-TV in Hampton/Norfolk; KING-TV and KONG-TV in Seattle/Tacoma; KREM-TV and KSKN-TV in Spokane; KHOU-TV in Houston; KTVB in Boise; and, WHAS-TV in Louisville. The agreement also covers carriage of two of the Company's 24-hour new channels, Northwest Cable News and Texas Cable News.
