KTVK to Broadcast Cardinals vs. Steelers

Preseason Opener Features Super Bowl Rematch

PHOENIX - KTVK-3TV will carry the rematch of one of the most exciting Super Bowl games in history when the National Conference Champion Arizona Cardinals play the American Conference Champion Pittsburgh Steelers in the preseason opening game August 13, 2009.

3TV will begin its live coverage with a special edition of "Good Evening Arizona" with Patti Kirkpatrick at 4 p.m. followed at 4:30 p.m. with a pre-game show hosted by Sports Director Tim Ring. 3TV will have a crew travel with the Cardinals to Pittsburgh for complete team coverage. The kick off is scheduled for 5 p.m. 3TV will also present post game coverage followed by "3TV News @ 9pm" with Beverly Kidd.

"You don't get this kind of match up every day. The Cardinals are Arizona's team and 3TV is well-known for our local, Arizona coverage," said Nick Nicholson, President and General Manager. "We're looking forward to bringing viewers the first game of the Cardinals' road back to the Super Bowl."
