Award-Winning Phoenix Television Anchor Joins Arizona's Most Popular Morning Show

PHOENIX - KTVK-3TV is excited to announce that popular Phoenix television anchor Kaley O'Kelley will be joining its morning newscast, Good Morning Arizona. O'Kelley chose to make the move from KNXV-TV after six years as an award-winning journalist, sports host and most recently as a morning weather anchor. O'Kelley will join the well known Good Morning Arizona team of Tara Hitchcock, Scott Pasmore and meteorologist April Warnecke starting Monday, September 14th.

Initially, O'Kelley will co-anchor Good Morning Arizona with Scott Pasmore from 4:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. Then, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., O'Kelley will report live from the field or anchor in-studio segments.

O'Kelley is a seasoned, award-winning reporter with an extensive resume including appearances as a fill-in host of ABC's Good Morning America. She also has on-location experience having covered major breaking news events such as Hurricane Ivan in Florida. O'Kelley has earned four Emmy awards for breaking news and hosting an entertainment program. She has also won top honors from the Arizona AP Broadcasters Association for investigative reporting and weather anchoring. O'Kelley is a member of the Native American Journalists Association and enjoys the proud distinction of being a direct descendant of Chief Sitting Bull.

"We're pleased that Kaley, with her impressive experience, wanted to join Arizona's most popular morning show," said KTVK Executive News Director Brad Remington. "As the station known for covering Arizona, Kaley's personality, understanding of the market and her extensive community involvement make her a great fit for 3TV."

"I couldn't be more excited to join 3TV and be a part of the great tradition of Good Morning Arizona," said O'Kelley. "This is an exciting opportunity and I am looking forward to working with Tara, Scott, April, Tess and the rest of the team. It is great to be a part of Arizona's Family."

When not on the air, O'Kelley enjoys riding her beach cruiser on Saturday mornings, going to movies, reading and planning her upcoming nuptials.
