Oprah Winfrey Scheduled to Join the WFAA Team on News 8 At 5pm, Broadcasting Live from Victory Park in Dallas on October 12, 2009

Dallas, Texas - Oprah Winfrey will be joining the WFAA team on a local news broadcast on Monday, October 12.

After a morning appearance at the State Fair of Texas for an upcoming "Oprah" show, Winfrey is scheduled to appear live throughout the half-hour News 8 at 5 p.m. with news anchors John McCaa and Gloria Campos, and sports anchor Dale Hansen.

Prior to the live newscast Ms. Winfrey will join McCaa outside on AT&T Plaza at Victory Park near downtown Dallas (3030 Olive Street, Dallas, 75219) for a one-on-one interview. The station will tape the short interview and broadcast at a later date. Viewers may come to Victory Park and see the interview as it is being recorded.

Parking is available in lots around the American Airlines Center and Victory Park area. There is no admission charge to come watch the live newscast from the Plaza area as it is broadcast from within the WFAA Victory Park studio.
