WFAA Launches MGM's Digital Network "This TV" on a Digital Sub Channel in the Dallas-Fort Worth Television Market
Dallas, Texas - Some of Hollywood's finest motion pictures from the treasured Metro Goldwyn Mayer library of over 4,100 timeless films have been blended with 10,000 hours of television's golden age to create THIS TV, a network devoted entirely to classic programming. It is now available in the Dallas-Fort Worth market on WFAA's digital sub channel 8.3, known as WFAA3.
From sweeping motion pictures such as "The Alamo" starring John Wayne, to Sean Connery and Donald Sutherland in "The Great Train Robbery" and "Moonraker" with Roger Moore as James Bond, to more contemporary fare including "At First Sight" with Oscar winner Mira Sorvino and Val Kilmer, and Mickey Rourke in "A Prayer for the Dying," the MGM films on THIS TV features Hollywood star power. Television classics including Sea Hunt, Mister Ed, Flipper, Green Acres, Outer Limits, Bat Masterson, The Patty Duke Show, The Addams Family, Cagney & Lacey and more are also now available 24/7 as WFAA offers
D-FW viewers the new network.
"We are pleased to provide our viewers a new alternative, which is available free, over the air on WFAA3 to those with digital sets and antennas, and/or analog sets with converter boxes," said the station's president and general manager, Mike Devlin.
WFAA3 is also currently available on Charter Cable channel 102, and for Rockwall Charter subscribers on channel 100. WFAA is currently working with other major cable providers in the area to carry WFAA3.
Daily program listings for THIS TV are available online at www.this.tv. Viewers should note that the online program listings are Eastern Time (THIS TV does not provide a separate feed for Central Time Zone stations). THIS TV is broadcasting in other markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston and more.
