KING 5 News Prepared For Complete Election Night Coverage

Results via webcasting, updates, tickers starting at 8:00 PM

Seattle, WA - KING 5 News is positioned to bring viewers the most comprehensive general election coverage in Western Washington beginning at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3rd including webcasting on, news updates and lower screen tickers in NBC prime time and KING 5 News on KONG 6/16 at 10:00 PM and KING 5 News at 11:00 PM.

KING 5 News will have results, reaction and analysis of the major issues and races facing voters. These include state measures Referendum 71 and Initiative 1033 as well as the race for King County Executive and Seattle mayor. R-71 would expand the rights and responsibilities of state registered same sex and senior domestic partners and Initiative 1033 would limit growth of certain state, county and city revenue to annual inflation and population growth.

Results from the exclusive KING 5 News / Survey USA voter polls will provide insight to the issues that were most important to voters in the key races.

Allen Schauffler, Mimi Jung, Linda Brill and Chris Daniels will be reporting live from King County Executive and Seattle mayoral campaign headquarters and at gatherings of those for and against Referendum 71. Dennis Bounds and Lori Matsukawa will co-anchor ninety-five minutes of live election night coverage with KONG's 10:00 PM and KING 5's 11:00 PM newscasts.
