HOUSTON - The Texas Associated Press Broadcasters (TAPB) announced winners of its 2009-2010 television contest, honoring KHOU TV Channel 11 with the most total awards and most first place awards won by any large market television station in Texas. The 11 News team was recognized with 23 TAPB awards, ten of those being first place honors.
Each year the TAPB recognizes excellence and achievement in journalism with awards in various categories. Awards will be presented at the 2010 TAPB Convention at the Headliners Club in Austin on Saturday, April 24, where KHOU will receive the following:
