John Stringer Named WVEC Director of Sales

Norfolk, VA - WVEC announced John Stringer as Director of Sales, to be effective April 5, 2010.

John comes to WVEC from Belo's Tucson, AZ Fox and MyNetwork duopoly, KMSB-TV/KTTU-TV where he's served as Director of Sales & Marketing since 2004. Prior to KMSB-TV/KTTU-TV, John served in a variety sales and sales management roles at Belo's KGW-TV in Portland, OR.

WVEC-TV President and General Manager, Tod Smith said, "John brings experience, a passion for excellence and a client-focused approach to doing business that will benefit both our customers and our own organization. He will be a tremendous asset to this organization and to the community at large."

John Stringer is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. and began his broadcasting career in radio sales as an account manager before joining Belo at KGW-TV.
