Rob Tanner named "Charlotte Today" Co-Host at WCNC

Charlotte, NC -- WCNC-TV announced that Rob Tanner, of Charlotte's number one country music radio station 103.7 WSOC , has joined Colleen Odegaard as co-host of "Charlotte Today."

Tanner had been among a group of rotating co-hosts, since the debut of the local entertainment and information program on NewsChannel 36 in February.

Executive Producer of Local Programming Mary Alvarez said "Rob was chosen because of his 'chemistry' with Colleen and his ability to make people laugh while giving them good information." Adds Odegaard: "He's such a good-natured guy and he cares so much about this community. That makes him perfect for the show."
Tanner's unique brand of fun, parodies and service to the community has earned national recognition. In 2004, the Country Radio Broadcasters Association nominated Rob for the CRB Humanitarian Award for his efforts to improve the quality of life for his community.

"I'm thrilled to be working alongside Colleen one of the sweetest and funniest ladies in TV. The staff at "Charlotte Today" is awesome and who knows? maybe I'll even learn how to cook on the show," said Tanner.
