KTVK 3TV to hold First and Only U.S. Senate Debate

Debate Will Take Place Live on 3TV September 26th

PHOENIX - KTVK 3TV announced today it will produce and air the first and only live statewide debate with the candidates running for U.S. Senate. The debate will originate from the 3TV studios in Phoenix and air live on KTVK 3TV commercial free. The one-hour debate will also be streamed live on

Senate GOP candidate Senator John McCain and Democrat Rodney Glassman have agreed to participate in the live debate on Sunday, September 26th at 6 p.m. Debate invitations have also been extended to Libertarian Party candidate David Nolan and Green Party candidate Jerry Joslyn.

The 3TV GOP debate is the first debate for the candidates and the only debate Sen. John McCain will participate in before the general election on November 2nd.

3TV political reporter and "Politics Unplugged" anchor Frank Camacho will serve as moderator. The event will take the shape of a formal political style debate with the campaigns agreeing on the various debate specifics.

The September 26th debate will be the third live debate 3TV has held this election cycle. 3TV was the only station in the Phoenix market to produce and air the Democrat and Republican U.S. Senate debates during the primary election season.
