WFAA-TV and American Airlines Center Announce Big D NYE "Fast Track To Fame" Competition For Musicians
Fans Will Decide Who Earns a Chance to Perform at the Largest Televised New Year's Eve Event in Texas
Dallas, Texas - Big D NYE, Dallas-Fort Worth's hottest annual New Year's Eve destination, is counting down to 2011 in a big way. This year, organizers at WFAA and American Airlines Center are searching for one artist or band to play a special live set during the evening's massive celebration at Victory Park near downtown Dallas.
Beginning October 1, Big D NYE organizers began a gigantic all-call for area pop, rock and country artists to upload their best original songs to the Big D NYE "Fast Track to Fame" Competition Channel powered by OurStage.com ( www.ourstage.com ). One artist/band will earn the chance to perform to over 25,000 people in downtown Dallas' Victory Park. Portions of the performance will also be televised on WFAA's New Year's Eve broadcast to over 450,000 television viewers in north Texas, as well as in Houston and New Orleans. Beyond the massive media exposure the winning band will also walk away with a $1,000 cash prize.
Artists have already begun submitting their best original songs to the Big D NYE "Fast Track to Fame" Competition at http://www.bigdnye.com or on the Big D NYE Facebook page. Artists must be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. All participants must be legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States, and artists or one band member must reside in the north Texas market. An artist may submit only 1 (one) unique track into the Big D NYE "Fast Track to Fame" Competition Channel. Accepted genres must fall into the pop, rock or country genres as defined by OurStage. Fans can now rank their favorite performers or battle artists head to head through October 31, 2010. By voting, fans will automatically be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Big D NYE T-Shirt and OurStage.com prizes. One grand prize winner will have the opportunity to attend the Big D NYE VIP party on New Year's Eve at the WFAA Victory Park studio!
