Breeders' Cup and WHAS11 to Give Away a $25,000 Wager On The Breeders' Cup Classic in "Breeders' Cup $25k Fan Sweepstakes"

Fans can enter to win at Churchill Downs during Friday's World Championship races

Lexington, KY - The Breeders' Cup and WHAS11 have teamed up to give one fan the opportunity to direct a $25,000 wager on the Breeders' Cup Classic, Saturday November 6th. The Breeders' Cup World Championships is Thoroughbred racing's most prestigious global event, consisting of 14 races and $26 million in purses. The event will be televised live on ABC and ESPN and to a worldwide audience in more than 120 countries.

Fans can enter at the Breeders' Cup-WHAS11 booth onsite at Churchill Downs during the Friday, November 5th Breeders' Cup races. The winner will be announced prior to the running of the Ladies' Classic that night. The bet will then be directed the following day on the Breeders' Cup Classic.

This year's Classic is currently one of the most talked about races of the upcoming Breeders' Cup World Championships as undefeated Zenyatta will look to both defend her title and go for the American Thoroughbred record of 20-0. Other potential contenders in the Classic include Blame, Quality Road and Lookin at Lucky.

The "Breeders' Cup $25K Fan Sweepstakes" begins when gates open, 12 p.m. EDT, for live racing on Friday, November 5th, and ends at the beginning of the eighth race that same day, approximately 6:10 p.m. EDT.

The Breeders' Cup-WHAS11 $25K Fan booth will serve as the entry area for the sweepstakes and will be located near the Aristides garden in the paddock. Fans may also enter at Will Call outside Gate 17. Limit one entry per person.


NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.D. ("U.S.") who currently reside in the U.S. and are 18 or older at time of entry. Begins at the time gates open for live racing on Friday, November 5, 2010, approximately 12:00 p.m. EDT, and ends at the beginning of the 8th race that same day, approximately 6:10 p.m. EDT. The drawing of winners for the opportunity to direct a Win wager for the Breeders' Cup Classic will be conducted at approximately 6:30 p.m. EDT. Subject to complete official rules, available at the designated sweepstakes entry area located near the Aristides garden in the paddock (or at Will Call outside Gate 17). Limit one (1) entry per person. Prize: winner will receive the opportunity to direct a Win wager ($25,000) during the Breeders' Cup Classic. Void where prohibited.
