KTVK 3TV Goes Inside Arizona's Infamous 2010 Prison Break

Half-Hour Special Investigates Arizona's Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde

PHOENIX - He was convicted of murder. She was his fiance and cousin. Together, they masterminded one of Arizona's most infamous prison breaks which turned into a deadly 3-week, cross-country crime spree that gripped a nation. He is John McCluskey. She is Casslyn Welch. But they were better known as Arizona's modern day Bonnie and Clyde.

KTVK 3TV asks the questions Arizonans want answered in a special investigative report "Prison Break: The Escape of Arizona's Bonnie and Clyde." The 30-minute special, reported by 3TV's Beverly Kidd and produced by Jason Berry, will air on Wednesday, November 17th at 6:30 p.m.

The special documents the escape, subsequent man-hunt and the dramatic capture of McCluskey and Welch. Kidd comes face-to-face with McCluskey asking him about the murders of Linda and Gary Haas and provides viewers a look into the cell he now calls home. She also gets a first-hand account of how the capture went down from the deputies who were there. And most importantly, Kidd exposes the problems at the prison that allowed the inmates to escape and sheds light on what is being done to ensure it never happens again.

An encore presentation of "Prison Break: The Escape of Arizona's Bonnie and Clyde" will air on Thursday, November 18th at 10 p.m.
