Thomas Cury named Director of Sales at WFAA-TV
Dallas, Texas - Thomas Cury has been named director of sales at WFAA, the Belo Corp. flagship television station in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
In making the announcement Mike Devlin, WFAA president and general manager said, "Tom is a seasoned sales manager who brings great analytical skills, knowledge of online sales and a consistent track record of building outstanding broadcast sales teams."
Most recently Cury served as the vice president/director of sales at WFOR-TV and WBFS-TV, the CBS owned stations in Miami. He worked at CBS for 18 years in positions ranging from account executive, national sales manager and group sales manager for various network-owned stations before taking the reins as director of sales at WFOR.
"WFAA is a tremendous station with a solid reputation," said Cury. "I am extremely pleased to be joining the staff in Dallas.
Cury is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C. While in Miami he was active in a variety of broadcast industry organizations, and community activities including Big Brothers Big Sisters.
